Mirrors do not build, they reflect, and if you prompt it to build you a game then sure, it will. Or will they become curators of games they never really developed, caretakers of unknowable architectures? AI has am amazing ability to assist us in learning and help us search through hundreds of lines of code for a bug that appeared out of nowhere.

Changes

All text-based player-to-player communication is required to go through TextChatService to comply with our Community Standards. Age-based chat is designed to prevent children younger than 16 from communicating with adults. Photos and videos collected through ID Verification and Facial Age Estimation are not considered biometric data, and are not retained and deleted immediately after processing. We wanted to clarify how data is retained per our Roblox Biometric and Facial Media Data Privacy Notice. What does this mean, profling our experience? Amazing update, much much needed!
Games with mild repeated violence (most Roblox games with violence) aren’t age gated by default; parents can manually restrict children from accessing games with any violence, but this is probably a fraction of a percent of users. I was working on an in development build of my game and set up the Questionnaire prematurely and put “Strong Language” When my game only contained a baseplate, Assets, and No code. I later get an email saying I need to update the questionnaire on all of my experiences or I risk moderation. Recently you guys added an update for “sensitive topics” and said in the devforum post to update the questionnaire only if our experiences contained sensitive topics.

Issues

This is effectively you collecting entire games at this point. Stardew Valley was made by a single guy, without a game engine, you are using a game engine and it’s one of the easiest in the world and you still need AI, Are we deadass gang? The main issue I have with this or any (current) public AI, all content is collected and stored. It’s not “AI slop”; it’s about empowering people to focus more on creativity than on technical barriers like programming.
However, since your AI also contains some of the same issues, it is also subject to the same critiques. And by the way, this is not just an issue with this tool, every mainstream AI service has similar issues. This sort of data collection makes me very skeptical about ever using it.
They did say the same thing repeatedly, just mentioned all the users who could benefit. A little disappointing, but better late than never. You just rephrased the same thing that was said before multiple times. Better frame rates, response times, and reduced jitter for players across the country

MEDIA CENTER

The point isn’t about being too lazy to make a game — it’s about radically accelerating Roblox game creation. If you can’t be bothered to make a game, then why are you even developing games. Thanks now I cant even trust basic games to not be made of AI slop! So is this just fully AI generated slop put in to an electron app and calling it an “AI Game Builder”? This is not only incredible, it’s game changing. It helps turn people into programmers by showing them how systems work, giving them working code, and helping them learn through iteration.

Why are you focused on rating against unproblematic experiences, versus enforcing against explicit experiences?

Most people give up before reaching proficiency because of the steep learning curve and lack of accessible mentors or documentation. Learning Roblox Lua is hard, especially without guidance. We’re building this AI tool to empower both beginners and intermediate Roblox developers—not to replace them, but to accelerate their growth and productivity.

  • When PolicyService is used to restrict visibility of Paid Random Items for ineligible users, it doesn’t have to be flagged on the questionaire.
  • This is nothing major, just that PlaceIDs were being recorded in the app’s DB entry which was being sent out to the client.
  • Stardew Valley was made by a single guy, without a game engine, you are using a game engine and it’s one of the easiest in the world and you still need AI, Are we deadass gang?
  • Mirrors do not build, they reflect, and if you prompt it to build you a game then sure, it will.
  • This age estimation system flags kids and adults alike as the wrong age way too often for comfort.

The issue isnt whatever this is trying to fix (games showing up without any labeling being potentially unsafe?) but rather the fact that there are a series of blatantly suggestive and even straight up inappropriate experiences running around that you all refuse to do anything about. While launching these age checks is a priority for safety, we’ll continue to build features to minimize the impact on your experiences, especially more social games. Previously we have been told we only need to update the questionnaire if our answer to any of the questions requires an age restriction, however recently Roblox are now saying we must update it every time. So if unrated games aren’t even a significant amount of playtime, why even do it aside from trying to appeal at least somewhat decent to all the people taking legal action against you? Earlier this month, we shared information about updates to our policies and steps we are taking to ensure users have access to age appropriate content.

  • You can edit the rank at any time you need, just click the settings icon next to the rank in the same area and configure it via the menu which pops up.
  • This is effectively you collecting entire games at this point.
  • How can I communicate with users in my experience?
  • Sharing my socials inside a game helps me build my community and get bug reports in a timely manner.
  • I really wanted to create a sword fighting game months ago that gave off a classic vibe but I ultimately decided not to because of the content rating system and wanting everyone to be able to play my games.

But what about Blox Fruits and 99 Nights in the Forest using weapons? To me I feel like if an Restricted Experience (17+) Changes their survey a Moderator has to Manually check and validate it’s okay for Roblox. To me this is considered a huge oversight as I tried updating the questionnaire and it being completely unchangeable. I’d like to ask questions regarding restricted 17+ Experiences, as there is NO WAY to reinstate any other age rating below 17+ if you click yes into specific questions in the survey by mistake. Well, that is definitely a good reason and I stand corrected on Grow a Garden if they have implemented that, but what about Blox Fruits and 99 Nights in the Forest using weapons? So i really have to ask what is the issue this is trying to fix exactly?
Over the coming updates there will be lots of small UX refactors to make better use of space and shrinking things down. Hey there, amazing job on Administer; I have to give you props that it is well-built and definitely has a bright future ahead of it. For example, even though I can’t stop you please do not literally just rip code for your own admin system. I couldn’t do it alone – huge thanks to the other people who make Administer and regular releases possible Please make sure to test your code before pushing it.
I’m experiencing this issue too, it has been happening every 20ish minutes or so, extremely annoying. Same issue https://www.redlion.casino/ here, the time it takes is random. Probably my 5th or 6th time reinstalling roblox. Hey guys, basically all games got a giant memory leak right now – causing the memory to go up like 100MB every 5 minutes. I have this issue, but its seemingly only happening while terminated (or after appealing my account).
Will remove my original reply to the thread as it appears it may be inaccurate. Ok, well I guess there must have been a recent change made for that then when Roblox started adding 5+ to age recommendations last week. There’s no substantial downside to including mild repeated violence in a game; at most you’re locking out 0.5% of the playerbase.
For example, all of the following larger scale games are allowed to be played by players of all ages, despite all of them having features that any regular developer would have to restrict. These changes will enable users and parents to make better decisions on the content they engage with – making Roblox a better place for everyone in our community. Starting today, users and parents can find default minimum ages alongside content maturity labels on Experience Pages. As part of our commitment to legacy content on Roblox we will identify notable experiences from creators who are no longer active on Roblox, and ensure they have content maturity labels.
